Affiliate Marketing – What It Is And Why It Works

I was recently asked by a young lady to write an article about affiliate marketing. She wanted me to define what it is and why she should use it. I did not have the time to write a 300 word article, so I thought I would post the information that I wrote to her.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing where you get paid for bringing other people’s products or services to the attention of potential customers. You can make money in two ways when you are doing affiliate marketing. The first way is by selling your own products. The second way is by helping others sell their products. The first method is called direct marketing and the second is called referral marketing. Both methods require that you have some type of website.

Why Should You Use It?

You can make money in affiliate marketing because there are many people who will pay you to advertise their products or services on your website. You can also make money if you help someone else to sell a product or service on their website. This is called referral marketing. There are many people who do not know how to set up a website. They can hire someone to do it for them. This person will usually charge them a fee for his or her services.

What Is Email Marketing?

Email marketing is a form of advertising that uses email as the medium. It has become very popular over the last few years. Many companies send out emails to their customers every day. Some of these emails are promotional in nature. Others are informational. There are also some emails that are sent out just to keep in touch with current customers.

How Do You Get Approval To Send Out Emails?

You will need to get permission from the company that you want to send the emails from before you can send them out. This is called permission based email marketing. Most companies will give you permission to send them out as long as they receive enough sales to cover the cost of the emails.

When Should You Send Your Emails?

Most companies send out emails at different times of the day. This is called timed email marketing. Some companies send out emails at certain times during the week and then another set of emails at a different time during the week. This is called segmented email marketing.

If you are going to start sending emails, you should find out which times work best for the company that you are working with. If you do not know this, you should ask them.
